The laid-back feel of Memphis welcomes a gay community that emphasizes the jeans-and-boots feel of the city. Memphis’ gay community is centered in Midtown, and the city has many things to offer for gay guys of all ages. The bar and club scene ranges from country-and-western and Elvis to hip-hop. There’s something for every type of music (or man).

In Memphis, Daddies should be sure to check out bars like The Pumping Station, a popular bar that is great for the older/younger crowd. It caters to a mainly older crowd and the young guys that often accompany them show up here as well. J-Wag’s Lounge is another place you might want to check out after-hours to find a guy to spend the rest of your night with. The Jungle is a low-key bar that is popular among the Levi’s crowd.

For the younger crowd, Backstreet Memphis is a huge dance club that attracts mainly younger guys but some older guys as well. Hunters may want to check it out because there is always a group of older guys hanging out at the place. Senses is a hot spot that caters to the younger gay guys in the city.

For Bears, Lorenz is a Bear bar that attracts not only more mature guys, but the younger ones who love them as well. This pseudo Levi’s-meets-Leather bar is the spot for Bears in Memphis to hang out.
