As one of the most gay-friendly cities in the Midwest, Minneapolis has long been a haven for gays. Minneapolis, along with its twin, St. Paul, both have
impressive gay communities that are visible on all levels of city culture and politics. Most of the gay life of Minneapolis takes place downtown, and there really isn’t a gay-centric neighborhood in the city. The citizens of the city are welcoming of the gay lifestyle as well; the city was one of the first to ban gay discrimination.

In Minneapolis, Daddies have a few bars that they can go for a good time. Tickles, in downtown, is popular among older guys and also attracts the occasional twinks to the bar. The Brass Rail also attracts a lot of Daddies and is a popular bar to meet up with other guys in the area. The Townhouse caters to an older crowd and has different themed nights almost every night of the week.

For Hunters, many places in Minneapolis serve their needs. The Saloon is a popular dance bar in Minneapolis that has a younger following. Camp Bar attracts both Hunters and Daddies making it an ideal bar for younger and older guys to connect.

For Bears and Leather Daddies, the Minneapolis Eagle has a rougher clientele that focuses on leather. Club 90 is another hot spot for a more rugged experience than many of the other gay bars in Minneapolis.
